Privacy Policy

Effective 1 October 2026

Move keeps the record of your cars — their maintenance, insurance and registration — shared with the people you choose, and tells you what is due and why. It is operated by Memriq Holdings, Inc. ("Memriq", "we"), which is the controller of the personal information described here. Move never books, pays or contacts anyone for you.

What Move collects

  • Your account — your name and email address, and a password or your Google sign-in. One Memriq account signs you in to every Memriq service; being let in to Move is decided separately, by invitation.
  • Each car's record — what you or another member of the car enter: a name for it, its make, model, year and fuel, its plate and VIN if you add them, odometer readings, tyres, services and the shop's name if you add it, the registration renewal date, and the insurance renewal date with the insurer and policy number if you add them. Each fact keeps where it came from.
  • Who a car is shared with — the members of your household you add to a car, and their role.
  • Car paperwork from your email, if you connect it — when you ask Move to look, it reads messages that look like a service invoice, a tyre receipt, a registration notice or an insurance renewal. Each message is read once, in memory, and never stored. Move keeps only the facts you confirm, with who sent the message, its subject and its date.
  • The plans Move made for a car — what was due, the date you chose, and which follow-ups you kept.
  • Your settings — including how far Move may act on its own.

Move does not buy information about you or your cars and does not add to a car's record from anywhere else.

How it is used

  • To show each car's record to the people it is shared with, and work out what is due and why.
  • To plan maintenance before a date you choose, including one of your own dated to-dos in Helm.
  • To read a message's car facts when you ask — as a suggestion you confirm or decline.
  • To put a reminder or a to-do in Helm when you ask, or when you have chosen to let Move do it.
  • To send the messages you asked for, such as a waiting-list confirmation or an invitation.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and have not in the past twelve months.

Who can read it

Everything Move stores about a car — its plate, VIN, insurer, policy number, services, shops and dates — is sealed with that car's own key before it is stored, and Move opens it only for the people the car is shared with. Facts found in your email and your settings are sealed with a key belonging to your account. Only account and record identifiers, roles and the times a record was written are not sealed; none of those says whose car it is.

Services that process it for us

  • Railway — runs Move's servers.
  • MongoDB Atlas — stores Move's records, sealed as described above, in the United States.
  • OpenAI — the language model Move uses to read a message's car facts (with names and addresses removed first) and to write its maintenance plan in words.
  • Resend — delivers the emails described above, through Memriq's one sender.
  • Google — signs you in, if you choose Google, and holds the email you connect.

How long it is kept

Your account and car data are deleted within 30 days of your account closing. Support messages are kept for 2 years, server logs for 90 days, and billing records, if you ever have any, for 7 years. Backups can hold deleted data for up to 35 days before it is gone from them too.

Deleting it, or getting a copy

You can change or remove any fact on a car you may edit. To delete everything Move holds about you, or to get a copy, write to privacy@memriq.ai: we acknowledge within 5 business days and finish within 30 days. When you are erased, you leave every car others own, and each car you were the last owner of is deleted together with its key.

If you are in the EU or UK

We rely on the contract with you to run Move, on our legitimate interests to keep it working and secure, and on your consent for anything else. Your information is processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
